Results of Prix Bohemia Radio 2003

Honourable Mention Prix Bohemia Radio 2003 in the international category Radio-phonic programme:
Jitka Škápíková and Michal Rataj (Czech Radio 3 – Vltava) – radio-phonic programme “Pablo Picasso: I Paint with My Own Blood“ (in the framework of that year category, the jury awarded this programme the Honourable Mention for untraditional way of sound usage that emphasised the story expressed by words), and Helen Thorington (Roslindale, MA) – radio-phonic programme “ 9-11-01-scapes“ about the tragedy of 11 September, 2001 (The programme is a part of multimedia production, visual part of which is still placed at the Internet. Acoustic part based on careful selection of authentic acoustic materials and elements of electro acoustic music, evokes strong emotional experience).

National Prize Prix Bohemia Radio 2003 in the international category Radio-phonic programme - Four Dimensions – “Prague 2002 – Vltava Intermezzo“(The jury appreciated imaginative mapping of an actual event as well as a technical production and direction of that programme which is in genre the purest, and so the most appropriate in the mentioned category).

International Prize Prix Bohemia Radio 2003 in the international category Radio-phonic programme - Vilo Santanelli (Slovak Radio) – “Woman with Black Wings” (The programme inventively connects a musical part and an acoustic one, like “ars acustica”, with a spoken word. The jury appreciated consistent compositional production).

Prize Prix Bohemia Radio 2003 in the category Auto-announce: Dan Kohout and Petr Mekina (Country Radio) – “Everybody Is Good but We Are COUNTRY“(This contribution represents best meaning and purpose of auto-announce in a programme of a radio station).
